SCOOP (Space COllaborative Observation Platform)

Project Description:

The target of Space COllaborative Observation Platform (SCOOP) is to develop a web platform for collaboration and coordination of space debris observations. It shall allow space debris observers and scientists an easy exchange of data during observation campaigns. SCOOP shall also provide orbit determination, propagation, correlation and pass prediction functionalities.

SCOOP Web Interface

SCOOP is divided into a web interface, a database and database interfaces, so-called Service Interfaces (SIs). The SIs allow SCOOP administrators to connect different software tools to the system. As a result, these tools can be utilized by SCOOP to execute the Services mentioned above. The SIs are developed by Technische Universität Braunschweig (TUBS), Insistute of Space Systems (IRAS).

Project Term:

November 2015 – June 2017

The project is being carried out as a part of the EXPRO+ program (funded by the European Space Agency) in cooperation with the following partners:

  • Deimos Space S.R.L., Romania
  • Deimos Space S.L.U., Spain
